Nguyen Hue Street
Nguyen Hue Street is a chic, pedestrianized strip running for almost 700 meters from the Saigon River to Ho Chi Minh City Hall. Opened in April 2015, this ‘walking street’ is lined with trees and cooling fountains. Visitors can watch the passing scene on wooden benches made from trees that once grew by Saigon Opera House. Notable landmarks amid the shops, restaurants and coffee houses include a statue of Ho Chi Minh, arm raised benevolently, designed by artist Lam Quang Noi. The Nguyen Hue Flower Street festival is also held here.
