London Contemporary Art Galleries

Founded by Charles Saatchi in 1985 to share his private contemporary art collection with the world, the Saatchi Gallery is a veritable force of the international art world. The Saatchi Gallery represents standout American artists such as Andy Warhol and Jeff Koons, Young British Artists of the 1990s and nurtured the rise of artists such as Damien Hirst. Another heavyweight of the London art scene is the White Cube Bermondsey, whose three exhibition galleries incorporate over 5,440m² of interior space. The only British gallery to showcase the works of American artist Theaster Gates, the White Cube is also known for staging London’s largest exhibition of European artist, Anselm Kiefer. Another must-visit London art gallery is the Serpentine Galleries, situated next to the eponymous Serpentine Lake in Kensington Gardens. Discover the fascinating modern and contemporary art exhibitions by artists such as Man Ray, Anish Kapoor and Christian Boltanski.
