California Science Center
At the California Science Center – known locally as the "California ScienCenter" – you will encounter a thousand and one wonders concerning the conquests of space and science (such as natural ecosystems and the mysteries of the Dead Sea), as well as a 3D IMAX cinema. Founded in 1951, this is one of the grand dames of Los Angeles' museum scene. Some of the most phenomenal pieces on show at this free institution include a number of aircrafts (such as the Douglas, Lockheed and Northrop) as well as the space shuttle Endeavour, which has come to enjoy its retirement in the Californian sun after its last mission in 2011. The California Science Center is bound to inspire budding astronauts and lovers of science.
