Shopping Amsterdam, Netherlands
Dating back to 1862, Bloemenmarkt is the most famous flower market in the world, and above all, the only one to take place on moored barges. The profusion of colors and perfumes fill the quays of the Singel canal, because in the past, it was boats that delivered trees, plants and, since the 1960s, fresh flowers. Today, plants arrive at the floating market by truck, but the market has lost none of its buzz. Every day, from 9am until 5.30pm, you can find a variety of local gifts as well as a wide range of flowers and tulip bulbs, which are the symbol of Holland and offer the perfect souvenir to take home with you.
